Aims

The school operates as one entity and there are plenty of opportunities for boys and staff to get together from all departments.  Heads of Department liaise regularly with the subject coordinators to ensure delivery of an exciting and challenging curriculum.

All Departments work very hard to ensure that there is a smooth transition from Nursery to Reception and Year 3 to
Year 4.

All King's House policies and decisions are judged against these aims:

  • All pupils are equally valued and nurtured, irrespective of their abilities or any other consideration.
  • Pupils are encouraged to achieve the highest possible academic standards for their age and ability.  We provide high quality teaching of a curriculum that meets their needs and the requirements of the Common Entrance Syllabus and scholarship examinations.
  • Pupils are encouraged to participate in Art, Music and Drama to develop their artistic ability and appreciation and contribute to exhibitions, concerts and plays.
  •  Pupils are encouraged to follow a programme of physical education to develop their fitness and agility, their understanding of a healthy lifestyle and their ability to work together in a team.
  •  King's House promotes spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding, to develop good inter-personal relationships both in school and in the wider community.
