Year 8 Tour to Scotland 2010

Edinburgh Rugby Tour 2010
By Joshua Binder 8N

As we got off the plane that had just landed in Scotland the one subject we were talking about was if we would be playing our first rugby match.  The result unfortunately was no as the match was called off due to bad weather.  However, we didn't let this spoil our tour.

First we played football on Astroturf then we went to visit Murrayfield Stadium to be shown around by a guide.  After checking into our hotel we went to the Megabowl and played ten pin bowling plus the arcades.

The next day we went to Leith Waterworld, a shopping centre and finally onto a spooky tour of Edinburgh on the ‘Ghosts and Ghouls' walk.

On the last day everybody was excited to be playing their first and final match of the tour.  The ‘B' squad unfortunately lost, however the ‘A' team won by quite a long way.  As our last activity we went back to Murrayfield to watch Edinburgh play the Ospreys, Edinburgh won 35-12.

This was an excellent tour and thank you to Mr Simpson, Mr Reid, Mr Hardwick and Mrs Picken
