Year 7 & 8 Production

‘Stories of Christmas'

In a break with tradition Year 7 & 8 staged a Christmas Show this term instead of their usual spring term production. In an entertaining start to the festive season the boys performed two one act plays. The light-hearted  ‘True Story of Good King Wenceslas' was performed by Year 7 and  ‘The Coming of the Kings', a verse drama of the Christmas story, by Year 8. Two school room scenes involving most of the rest of Year 7 & 8 linked the two plays. The show was great fun to put on and enjoyed by all involved. There were many splendid performances but special mention must be made of Cameron Kerr, as the hiccupping King Wenceslas, and Matthew Weinberger as his feisty wife; and of Alexander Duncomb as the very confused Innkeeper and of George Baker as his wife - a very assertive female! Who are these female role models I wonder?

Well done to everyone involved in the production.
