YEAR 4 - ART

CLAY POTS
The boys have been getting to grips with New Clay this term making a variety of different pots. Some made by the traditional ‘Pinch Pot' method and others making ‘Coil Pots'. They have accessorised their pots with handles, lids and other adornments as they wanted. The boys first constructed their pots then painted them with interesting metallic paints to produce a colourful Easter Egg Pot to finish the term with.  Here are a variety of them!

KANDINSKY PROJECT
We studied the famous Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky and were struck by his use of colour and the shapes in his work.  We looked at the abstract pieces of Art and enjoyed the sense of music and movement you could portray with curved lines and dashes. Here are some of our pieces based on his work. Enjoy!
